Tulip buds, poppies, and sunflowers scatter freely across a pale ground of soft warmth. Inspired by 18th-century chintz from India’s Coromandel Coast, it celebrates effortless abundance. Each bloom retains the intimacy of hand-painted irregularity, imperfect, human, alive.

Notes: This fabric has been inspired by a detail from an artwork in the collections of the British Museum. Detail from a rectangular cotton bag made by sewing together two fragments of chintz, the original textiles are probably from the 18th century, from the Coromandel Coast, South India, British Museum 2002,0408,0.4, funded by the Brooke Sewell Permanent Fund.
