Vertical garlands of tulips, poppies, and rosettes ascend in rhythmic chains of red and indigo. Adapted from an 18th-century Indian palampore, it captures floral order with painterly softness. The balanced repeat brings calm structure and uplifting colour to every wall.
Notes: This fabric has been inspired by a detail from an artwork in the collections of the British Museum. Floral detail from a glazed cotton chintz hanging (palampore), painted and dyed and made for export, mid-18th century, from India, British Museum 1998,0505,0.1, funded by the Brooke Sewell Permanent Fund.
